Wow, talk about something to be grateful for. I had a potentially very serious eye condition this weekend. I called my eye doctor Sunday morning and he had me come in and treated my eyes. I am very grateful for his dedication to the welfare of the health of his patients. Thank you Dr. Timothy Seidlitz!

A new approach

I received a Twitter tweet yesterday that held value. It refered to a networking process that I can relate to called Jetnetting. The principle is to actively seek to promote others that are in your network and even people that you just meet. The focus is on helping them, not yourself. I have built my business model on helping clients with their tech needs, but not directly on developing leads for their businesses unless they hired me specificly for that. I like this idea of: “How can I help you network today?” Give it some thought and try it!

Wow, after needing help since I was a kid I have finally received some help with my handwriting. I grew up in the sixties , a time of major changes and my handwriting has reflected it. I have struggled for years with it, until now. I came across a video on youtube that spoke my language. I searched out the author and came up with BFH Handwriting… http://tiny.cc/Bb9wt Her name is Nan Jay Barchowsky and she has been helping people of all ages with handwriting for 35 years. Her methods are easy to adapt and for once in my life I am actually excited about handwriting including looking for excuses to write! …..lol

First Day

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I have created a plan, established priorities and time parameters. I have a checklist to know at a glance where I am at in any given time frame. It feels good, empowering! When you have a plan, you can relax more and get more done at the same time.

Positive Directions

I just had a thought this evening that rang true in my mind. The positive path is paved with discarded negative thoughts. This to me means that the sooner you are able to discard those negative thoughts that have been prevalent throughout your life, the sooner you are able to move in that new positive direction. A tool to use for this process is to ask yourself “how are those thoughts serving you now?” Chances are they are like a ball and chain, holding you back from moving in that positive direction. Just for today, think positive!

A new phone

Ahhhhh yes….. It’s that time again; the updating the phone time. I have had my KRZR since they were the new thing. Now it is time for it to give up the ghost and make way for the LG Dare. With this phone I can keep up with my social networking life on the phone. Powerful little tool it is! I think it will help to manage my life as I learn to best utilize the tools contained within. I am on the 3rd day of my 30 day “test drive.” I am going to put it and me……lol through all the paces this next couple of weeks. So far so good.

A delicate balance indeed

Good morning…. Yawn……. Update, such a delicate balance between what feels good and when the meds are not doing their thing. By not taking MTX (methotrexate) for about 3 1/2 weeks, was long enough to show effects. First thing I noticed was swelling behind knees, then stiffness. This was on a day when the Prednisone intake was only 1 pill and I had not taken it first thing that morning. Later on I felt better. I am now back on MTX, but at only 4 pills a week (lowest dose ever.) This morning I felt very stiff, neck, knees and elbows …….. grrrrr….. We will overcome eventually….. lol

Tai Chi for Seniors

I have recovered enough now to be able to use some of my tools. One of them is a video that I have called Tai Chi for Seniors. I have been aware of the instructor in the videos for nearly 20 years now. I purchased one of his VHS format videos in 1991 and I still have it! Mark is a very caring person that chooses to help others with his style of Tai Chi. His exercises and form movements are geared to people who are not able to do more advanced forms of Tai Chi.
